The famous Pehlu Khan lynching was posted on social media. This is a case of human rights violations. Future Therefore, social media is being used by the hindutva forces to garner votes by spreading rumours, glorifying murders on social media and different groups. Even the government sometimes adds by announcement of mass surveillance.

If something trends on no matter which social media platform everyone will know about it and participate in this trending thing. It is, thus, plausible to conclude that there is a negative connotation towards social media’s impact on culture. Which, in turn, could mean that it is a problem if social media contributes to human rights.
